We all make mistakes. Our job is to help you prevent them.
Millions of PTAC wall-mounted heating and cooling systems try to establish a comfortable climate for an empty room daily. Although it’s as simple as pressing a button or flipping a switch, human operators fail to turn off these devices on a regular basis and see the waste reflected in their energy bill.
Zero Energy Solution’s Oak smart energy optimizer is a system that uses artificial intelligence to plan heating and cooling according to occupancy patterns. Instead of leaving energy costs in the hands of busy minded humans, the Oak prevents wasteful spending.
Doors and windows are the weak point in a good air conditioning system. A 2015 initiative by New York City’s Department of Consumer Affairs reminded businesses about Local Law 38 that banned open door air conditioning in stores with more than 4,000 square feet. Despite the law being passed in 2008, wasteful spending still occurs. On a smaller scale, many run their air conditioning with the windows open, aimlessly pumping energy into the open environment. With a variety of sensors, an Oak system shuts down air conditioning when it detects an open window. By turning off heating and cooling when a combination of motion sensors, window sensors, and pre-programmed schedules decide it’s not necessary, we take human error out of the equation and save energy.
