BizDev Internship Job Description - Zero Energy Solutions


If you’re looking for a paid internship that could lead to an excellent job in a leading startup, and you got what it takes, we want you! We are an energized team of Zero Energy seekers with proven success, and we’re about to substantially expand our activity in New York.

Zero Energy Solutions is launching a revolutionary Climate Intelligence platform for commercial buildings in the state of New York. Our platform automates and personalizes indoor climate experience and dramatically reduces buildings’ energy usage. This could play a major part in New York’s shifting towards sustainability with recently passed groundbreaking legislation both in the state and city levels. The company has received two NYSERDA grants to back up this rollout and is now formulating a NYC based team to spearhead the expansion. The BizDev intern will have the tasks of assisting the CEO of the company and the NYC Project Manager.

As part of the position, the intern will deal with the following areas of practice:

  • Market analysis - potential clientele, competitive landscape, distribution channels
  • Targeting and initiating offers to potential clientele
  • Issuing and updating market material, with the assistance of professional designers
  • Maintaining media platforms and issuing blogs - LinkedIn, Facebook, company website, etc. 
  • Coordinating and facilitating the platform’s deployment throughout New York State
  • Initiating grant status reports

Requirements:

  • A sharp, enthusiastic, and committed person that wants to develop and achieve more
  • Must be persistent and determined in sales and client relations
  • Must be a student enrolled in an academic program during the fall 2019 semester
  • Must be able to be legally employed in the U.S. 

Main projects:

  • Conduct thorough research of subsidies and benefits programs of utility companies for commercial clientele, focusing on hotels and senior living facilities
  • Conduct focused research and reach out to hotel brands who might be interested in climate personalization services 
  • Coordinate and synchronize operational and logistic efforts in NY

General Information:

  • BizDev internship will be conducted at the ACRE urban future lab, located at 370 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY

US Sales Manager

Reporting to: CEO

Location: Florida

About the role:

The US Sales Manager will oversee the company’s sales and distribution activities in the US,
starting with personally executed sales efforts, followed by recruiting and managing sales team
and distribution channels.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary with an uncapped variable sales commission.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage clients and execute sales throughout the US.

Project Manager

Reporting to: CEO

Location: NY

About the role:

Zero Energy Solutions is initiating a Climate Intelligence platform rollout in New York State, backed by a NYSERDA grant. The Project Manager will manage the company’s NY rollout efforts, including market analysis, sales and marketing, logistics and operations. These tasks will be performed in accordance with the NYSERDA grant milestones and the Project Manager will be in charge of time schedule and deliverables for that grant. All mentioned responsibilities will be executed with the assistance of the company’s Israeli based team.

Recently, both New York State and City have passed ambitious climate bills that call for a drastic overall carbon emissions reduction. Governor Cuomo’s landmark bill aims for a carbon emissions reduction of 85% by 2050. As we continue to scale our business in the US, we aim to rollout our technology in New York and help meet these new energy goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analysis, including potential clientele, energy trends, competitive
    landscape, and local installation subcontractors.

  • Locally manage all customer-facing operational, logistics, administrative and support
    efforts.

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the role:

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for generating qualified sales leads for
the company\'s sales team. This role will focus on identifying and researching lists of
potential customers, and develop email, telephone, and Linkedin campaigns to generate
new business opportunities. As this role will be facing mainly US potential customers, the
vast majority of the work will be done during US workday time zones.

Senior Server Developer

Zero Energy Solutions is looking for a brilliant, experienced senior server developer to join our Climate Intelligence platform R&D team. In case you demonstrate a high level of performance, you could move up to R&D management positions (while still remaining hands-on).

In this role:
You will be closely involved in the design and implementations of the cloud platform components while maintaining system robustness, scalability, and usability.

Depending on your capabilities and preferences you will be able to focus on the AI/Data Analysis, Business Logic or supporting tools and infrastructure
